  Dear Harry, A fire  started on the Silversteen estate and quickly spread to the brushwood behind the “Barnyard” restaurant yesterday(19th). Quickly, the Alexa security staff posted at Steenberg estate, jumped into action, to prevent the fire spreading to the adjacent Steenberg estate. They hooked up the fire trailer and rushed to the fire scene. There they professionally went about their business, like experienced firefighters. The Steenberg Estate CEO, Mr. Lees, farm general manager, John Loubser and vineyard manager, Johann De Swardt witnessed Alexa at work. It was a pleasure, notwithstanding the heat, to watch them go about their business as a team and attain their objective by saturating the area with water so that the fire could not spread further, towards Steenberg estate. They performed this task diligently until the fire engines arrived. The security officers that were involved in the firefighting are: Sup. Manana S/Os Januarie, Galant & Ruiters. During the night of the 19/20th regular patrols were conducted to make sure that the fire did not flare up. At approximately 05:10 on the 20th, Response officer Bokser notice that a flare up had occurred. With the help of S/Os Jordan and Mudziwa they successfully extinguished the fire. Attached herewith is a photograph taken of the Alexa members combating the fierce fire on the 19th January. From left to right: S/Os Ruiters, Galant and with his back to the camera Januarie.   Dear Sir, I’m writing regarding one of your employees, one Mr. Amos Khokhotho, who on the 12th of June was responsible for stopping and detaining two men who had previously robbed me of my possessions. Mr. Khokhotho risked his own personal safety to assist me and was able to return all the stolen items to me fully intact. I feel very strongly that Mr. Khokhotho should receive adequate recognition for his actions as his intervention not only enabled me to recover my belongings, but helped me to feel much more secure during my time visiting Cape Town. The knowledge that there are security officers of the calibre of Mr. Khokhotho working in the city centre has greatly reassured me and allowed me to continue to enjoy my time here in the city as a tourist to South Africa. In addition to his brave actions on the night of the robbery, Mr. Khokhotho also stood up in court as a witness and I understand from the investigation officer that his testimony was pivotal in securing a conviction against both the assailants. After the court hearing he also went out of his way to ask if I was ok and to reassure me that I was safe here in Cape Town. Thank you for taking the time for reading this letter. I wouldn’t normally take the time to write a company about an individual employee, but I feel that the actions of Mr. Khokhotho were so exemplary that I felt compelled to get in touch. Alexa Security Officer assists with the arrest of murder suspect in the Cape Town City Centre Improvement District:  "Russel Jacobs and his driver was part of a Ops in Long street with Capt Jansen on Friday the 21st August 2009.  Myself and Marius Swanepoel were part of the above mentioned joined operation. I would like to comment on the good service in general from Security in the Lefic Building, Reception and Turnstile operators.  There are 2 security staff in particular that in my opinion have been doing a great job - Anthony Basson and Antonio Herdion.  They are always friendly, very professional and make the entrance into the building a pleasure. There are a number of people that share my view and thought that I would bring it to your attention. ... They have a tough job enforcing security processes and people normally respond negatively to this (as you know) but in my opinion, they have the correct approach in dealing with the Foschini Data staff and it has been noticed. - Scott Cunningham, The Foschini Group

The Palms Lifestyle Centre commended and thanked Alexa Security Solutions when the buildings recently flooded in the middle of the night. Apparently, vigilant Security Officers on night duty noticed water seeping under the front door during a routine patrol. They immediately alerted the centre manager as well as the tenant and by their quick reaction prevented significant damage to the property. The Community Police Forum publically commended Alexa Security Officer Bertin Mugisho on 8 May 2009 for going beyond the call of duty when he put himself in danger to assist a disabled victim of a robbery near the Howard Centre. Officer Mugisho recovered the stolen money and ensured his further safety when he compassionately walked the victim home. The SAPS were alerted and the perpetrator was brought to justice. Officer Mugisho is a true ambassador for Alexa Security Solutions. - Mr J Berry, Community Police Forum
